SHARING – uploading photos to instagram
I LOVE instagram and have been using it a long time now. I’ll post iphone shots as well as some of my DSLR shots there. Last year I found out about a free app that lets you upload photos directly from your computer to instagram, it’s called Latergram. You download the app, which is free and then head to the website. You can easily upload images directly from your computer.
What Latergram does is lets you schedule posts. It won’t automatically post for you, but you’ll get a notification on your phone when you have a photo scheduled to post that day, then you open the app and post it. What I like to do is just upload photos for the month, choosing days, but when I open the app I won’t necessarily upload the next scheduled photo, I’ll scroll through and choose another one. It might sound a little confusing, but it’s super easy and I love the fact that I can do this from my pc (as opposed to syncing photos to my phone or emailing myself photos and taking up precious space on my phone).
You can check out Latergram right HERE.
You can add hashtags to your instagram post as you’re scheduling in Latergram, and I like the fact that I am typing on my pc’s keyboard as opposed to typing on the iphone’s keyboard. This is the only easy way I know of to upload photos from your computer to instagram. I think there’s other options, but this is free, easy, and the photos don’t take up precious space on your phone. The only thing taking up space is the Latergram app.
Here’s a screenshot of what Latergram looks like on my iphone…as you can see I have three photos ‘ready’ to post, but I also have the option of leaving those there and choosing another photo I have scheduled for later if I like. If you’d like to check out my instagram account page, you can go HERE
I know that latergram has been such an awesome app for me, hopefully for you too, especially if you like posting shots from a camera other than your smart phone 😉
