The Big List Of Free Stock Photo Sites
There’s a lot of free stock photo sites out there and I’ve decided to compile a list of everything I could find for you. These sites allow you to use their images personally or commercially, but please remember to always double-check a site’s terms before downloading.
These are great to use to add texture to your own images, use as a background photo for a font, make your own printable quotes, use as a background image for a digital product you sell, or just use one as a cool pinnable image for your blog post that you don’t need to worry about copyright restrictions for. The possibilities are endless!

Negative Space – All the photos and raw files on this website are distributed under the CC0 creative commons license. That means that you can copy, modify, distribute and perform the work, even for commercial purposes, all without asking permission or give attribution.
Splitshire – free photos, no copyright restrictions
Superfamous Studios – The Superfamous Images are available under the conditions of a Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 license. This means that you can use the work for your own purposes as long as credit is provided.
IM Free – A curated collection of free web design resources, all for commercial use.
Snapwire Snaps – 7 free beautiful photos every 7 days, License and commission photos from 170,000 of the world’s most talented photographers
Unsplash – free photos, ten new photos every ten days
Pexels – free photos
Picjumbo – totally free photos for personal and commercial use
Jay Mantri – free pics. do anything (CC0). make magic.
Life Of Pix – free high res photos, no restrictions.
Streetwill.co – Free vintage photos to use any way you want.
Barn Images – Barn Images offers you a collection of free high-resolution non-stock photography.
Picography – Free hi-resolution photos. Use them however you like.
Magdelein – hand picked free photos for your inspiration
New Old Stock – Vintage photos from the public archives
Polar Fox – Only the best high-quality photos of free image sources. We fine tune and edit every image. Quality over quantity.
Tinyography – free iphone photos, really impressive images here…be sure to check it out.

Took A Pic Stock – This link takes you to their free section, but there’s also premium images you can purchase.
Jeshoots – free high res photos
Cupcake – All photos here on www.cupcake.nilssonlee.se are licensed under the Creative Commons license CC0, which means that you are free to use the images without any costs. You can copy, modify, distribute and perform the work, even for commercial purposes, all without asking for permission. Although, you’re more than welcome to let me know if you use images for a website, illustration or whatever, it’s inspiring to see the results.
Travel Coffee Book – Sharing beautiful travel moments. All photos are listed under cc0. That means you can do whatever you want with them.
Free Refe Real Life Photos – this one is hosted on a tumblr blog and features most of the images already at some of the bigger and more popular free stock photo sites
Start Up Stock Photos – free photos for startups, bloggers, etc.
Kaboom Pics – You can do nearly anything with the images, commercial or not. For example you can use photos for client works, HTML/PSD templates (for sale), in articles, Power Point presentations, print on t-shirts. Also you can distribute my PSD files with photos included in design. Attribution greatly appreciated.
Skitter Photo – Pictures on this website are authentic, they are not from other sites. All photos were taken directly by skitterphoto creators.
Lock And Stock – Website says: Let’s keep that great teaching of “Sharing is Caring” alive! I’m releasing these photos under the Creative Commons 0.
If you use any of these photos, please link back to this site as an attribute, so others can share the love. If you don’t, no worries. I don’t have any photo police out there searching!

Good Free Photos – A large free stock photo site with thousands of public domain photos including landscapes, objects, animals, plants, textures, and many other free photos.
Photos Public Domain – royalty free photos, clipart, more
Public Domain Images – Public domain images can be used for whatever you want, use it freely for any personal and/or commercial use.
Public Domain Archive – free stock photos
Public Domain Photos – All photos on this web site are public domain. You may use these images for any purpose, including commercial. But if some photo contains logos and products you need to be careful. Using someone else’s trademark commercially can get you sued.
Wikimedia Commons – a database of 29,158,767+ freely usable media files to which anyone can contribute
Morguefile – Be sure to read the terms for each individual photo on this site, some require attribution, etc. Website says: Looking for high resolution stock photos for your illustration, comp or design needs? Search morgueFile for free reference images. Yes, they’re all completely free. whether you’re an illustrator, art director, instructor or looking to add a defining visual to a presentation.
Stock Media – Stockmedia is a collection of free creative commons stock images. The images were taken specifically for stock photo use and come from a single known source so we can guarantee their CC license. Many of the images are exclusive to the site and not available anywhere else.
